LCA Homeschool Division

Who are we? Our homeschool outreach began with 3 or 4 families from our home church. Now we service over 250 families with students scattered across the US, and several forgeign countries. We offer curriculum from K-12, including diploma. Although we are not state accredited, many colleges accept diplomas awarded by homeschools - in fact, colleges now actively recruit homeschooled students. LCA is incorporated in the state of Colorado as a Christian School.

Students of Liberty Christian Academy, Homeschool Division, are enrolled in an independent school as a non-traditional, off-campus student - a "homeschooler". Some students have made arrangements with their high school counselors to obtain credits through our program and are considered part time students at Liberty.

The Homeschool Division of Liberty Christian Academy has focused on providing homeschool materials since 1991. Because of its ideal adaptation to homeschool needs we have chosen to be facilitators of the School of Tomorrow program. This system, commonly called "PACES", is easily managed by students and parents alike. Its work-text format frees parents from the time consuming task of preparing daily lesson plans allowing parents to concentrate on areas of concern or interest.

Is Homeschooling Right for Us? Families begin homeschooling for a variety of reasons. Perhaps the most common reason is that parents wish to provide a Christian education for their children; others are struggling in the public school arena academically or socially. Homeschooling is a COMMITMENT! It is not for the faint of heart. It is not a hit or miss proposition. Homeschooling may be at home, but it is still school! Important: Every state has its own laws governing homeschool - be very sure you are familiar with the home education laws of your state.

We're Interested; Now What? Our current enrollment fee is $30.00 per student, per year. Diagnostic testing fees in Math and English total $9.20; a total of $34.20 will get you started. After tests have been returned and graded we can begin ordering material for you. Most of our families order one quarter's worth of school material at a time. The cost for 5 basic subjects for one quarter is generally between $35.00 and $55.00. Additonal shipping charges may apply.
